Languages
Your customers may speak Turkish, English, Arabic, German or any mix. The Language section of the agent editor tells the agent what to expect, so it understands callers accurately and answers in the right language.
Main language
The language the agent expects first. On calls it makes speech recognition far more accurate, so set it to the language most of your callers speak. A new agent starts with your Console language.
Other languages
Languages your customers often use besides the main one. Click Add to add up to five. Calls recognise these languages more reliably.
When someone uses another language
Answer in their language (default) | The agent switches to whatever language the person speaks or writes. | You welcome tourists, expats or international customers. |
Only use the languages listed | Anything outside your languages is answered in the main language. | You serve only these languages, or your team cannot follow up in others. |
With Answer in their language, a misheard word on a noisy line can occasionally make the agent switch language. If that happens often, add the languages your callers really use, or choose Only use the languages listed.
Tips
- Write the First Message in the main language.
- Choose a voice that speaks your main language well. In the voice library, filter by This agent's languages.
- Your instructions can be in any language; the agent still answers in the customer's language.
