Members, roles and invitations
Bring your colleagues in and give each the right level of access. Members are managed per Touch Identity at Settings → Users; only owners and managers see this screen.
Roles
Business owner | Everything, including deleting the Touch Identity and giving, changing or removing ownership. |
Manager | Edits the Touch Identity, its agents, channels and rules; invites people, changes roles (including making managers) and removes members. Cannot manage owners or delete the Touch Identity. |
Billing Administrator | No management rights today. Will look after plans and payments as billing goes live. |
User | Works in the Touch Identity without management rights. |
Invite someone
Click Add New User and choose:
- Invite existing user: for someone who already has a Tegsoft Touch account. Enter their e-mail, pick a role and click Invite. They become a member once they accept.
- Invite new user: creates an account for someone new. Enter their e-mail, first name, last name and role, then click Send Invitation. They receive an e-mail to set up their account.
Answer an invitation
An invitation appears as a Pending Invitation bar at the top of the screen and under the bell:
- Accept makes you a member with the role shown.
- Snooze hides the bar and keeps the invitation under the bell, marked Snoozed.
- Reject declines it.
These only work while the invitation is pending. To step out of a Touch Identity you already joined, leave it.
Manage members
The list shows each member's Name, Role and Status, with tabs for All, Active, Expired, Inactive and Invited, a role filter and search. Each row has:
- Edit: the member's details.
- Change Role.
- Remove Membership: the person loses access and needs a new invitation to come back.
In a member's Danger Zone, Disconnect User removes them from this Touch Identity and keeps their account. Delete User deletes their whole account, and is refused while they are the only owner of any Touch Identity.
Owners: the rules that protect you
A Touch Identity always keeps at least one accepted owner. Nobody can demote or remove the last owner, and the last owner cannot leave. This way no Touch Identity is ever left without someone responsible for it.
- Only an owner can invite someone as owner, make a member an owner, change an owner's role or remove an owner.
- An invited owner counts as an owner only after accepting.
- To hand over: make someone else an owner, wait until they accept, then step down or leave.
