Test your AI agent
Test your agent in the browser before customers meet it. Click Test in the top bar of the agent editor; it is available once the agent has been saved.
Three ways to test
Text Chat | Type messages. Enter sends, Shift+Enter adds a line. Attach up to 5 files per message (5 MB each) and add emoji. | What the agent says on WhatsApp, SMS and chat. |
Push to Talk | Hold the microphone button, speak, and release to send. | How well it understands you, one question at a time. |
Conversation | A real-time voice conversation, with Mute and End. | The real phone experience: voice, speed and interruptions. |
Press Start to begin and Clear to empty the conversation. Voice modes need microphone permission: allow it when the browser asks. A headset gives the clearest sound.
Change, then test again
- Changes you save during a test apply from your next message.
- After changing the First Message, click Restart to hear it.
- The Estimated cost pill sits beside the test panel, so you see the effect of a new voice or answer quality straight away.
A test checklist
- Ask your five most common customer questions.
- Ask something the agent should not know, and check it does not invent an answer.
- Ask about a topic it must avoid.
- Ask for a person, and check it offers a colleague or takes a message.
- Speak another language, and check it answers the way you chose under Language.
- Interrupt it mid-sentence in Conversation mode.
- Say "please speak more slowly".
When the browser test is good, do the real thing: route your number to the agent and call it from another phone. Activate & Test on the Phone Numbers screen guides you.
If a test shows a plain error message, try again in a moment; if it persists, see Troubleshooting & FAQ → AI agent answers.
