Add and verify a phone number
Add a number
- Go to Rules & Definitions → Phone Numbers.
- Click Add your first phone number (in the middle of the page while you have none) or Add Number (top right).
- Type the number in the international format: +, the country code, then the number, for example +905321234567. Spaces, dashes and brackets are fine.
- Keep the channels you need on: Voice, SMS, WhatsApp and Visual IVR all start on.
- Press Enter or click Save. Esc or Cancel throws the row away.
A number without the country code, such as 05321234567, cannot be saved. Replace the leading 0 with your country code: +90 for Türkiye, +44 for the UK, +49 for Germany.
The same number cannot be added twice to one Touch Identity. You can also ask Teggy: "Add +90 532 123 45 67 with WhatsApp and voice"; it shows the number on a card, and you click Add.
Verify the number
Verification proves you own the number. Calls are only routed to verified numbers.
- Click Unverified · Verify now on the number's card.
- Choose how the code reaches you: SMS, Voice (a call reads it out) or WhatsApp.
- Click Send Code, type the code and click Check or press Enter.
The card now shows Verified on with today's date. A wrong code shows an error, and you can send a new one.
- A code is valid for one day.
- Changing the digits of a verified number makes it Unverified again. Changing only its channels keeps the verification.
- Landline? Choose Voice: landlines cannot receive SMS or WhatsApp.
- If no code can reach your number, for example behind an office phone system, contact Tegsoft support. We can check the number and mark it verified for you.
