Activate & Test: call forwarding
Activate & Test is the last step to go live. It checks that everything is ready, shows you exactly how calls reach Tegsoft Touch, and helps you test. Open a number's card, pick the channel and click the Activate & Test tab.
Before calls can come in
The top of the tab checks three things, each with a button that fixes it if needed:
- The channel is on (calls are refused while Voice is off).
- The number is verified.
- Someone answers: an AI agent is set as the main answer.
Call forwarding: keep your number, forward its calls
Your number stays with your phone operator. You only tell the operator to forward its calls to your Tegsoft Touch entry number. Calls that arrive there follow your number's routing.
Entry number for TΓΌrkiye: +90 212 912 56 56. For other countries the screen tells you if the entry number is still being set up; contact Tegsoft support and we will give it to you.
On a mobile line
On the phone that has the number, dial a code and press the call key. Your operator confirms on the screen. The Activate & Test tab shows each code with your entry number filled in and a Copy button.
All calls | **21* + entry number + # | Your phone stops ringing; every call goes to Tegsoft Touch. |
When you do not answer | **61* + entry number + # | You answer first; missed calls go to Tegsoft Touch. |
When you are on another call | **67* + entry number + # | Calls while you are busy go to Tegsoft Touch. |
When your phone is off or out of coverage | **62* + entry number + # | Calls go to Tegsoft Touch when you cannot be reached. |
Turn all forwarding off | ##002# | Your phone takes every call again. |
Example for TΓΌrkiye, forwarding calls you do not answer: **61*+902129125656#.
Want to keep answering yourself first? Use "When you do not answer", "busy" and "off" together instead of "All calls". Your phone rings for about 20 seconds first, then the AI agent takes over.
On a landline or office phone system
- Ask your operator, or whoever manages your office phone system, to forward calls for your number to the entry number.
- Choose all calls, or only unanswered and busy calls.
- Ask them to keep the caller's own number on forwarded calls. Without it, exceptions that check the caller's number or contact cannot match.
Check your tariff before you turn forwarding on. Your operator may charge forwarded calls like a call from your line to the entry number. Ask whether forwarding is included in your package, and what it costs per minute if not. If a code is refused, your operator uses its own codes or app: ask them to set up the forwarding.
Test it
- Call your number from another phone. Your AI agent should answer the way your customers will hear it.
- Click It worked: the screen confirms your AI agent is live and answering every call, day and night.
- Or click It didn't work, choose what happened, and follow the suggestions.
My own phone rang | Forwarding is not on yet: dial the code again and wait for the operator's confirmation. With "When you do not answer", your phone rings first for about 20 seconds; that is expected. |
Busy tone or "number not available" | Check the list at the top (voice on, number verified), check the code has the entry number exactly with the country code, and ask your operator whether your package allows forwarding. |
The call connected but nobody spoke | Make sure the main answer is an AI agent and that it is on. Test the agent itself: it needs a voice and at least one language. Wait a minute after a change and call again. |
Someone else answered, or the wrong greeting | An exception matched your test call. Test from a phone no exception matches, or turn the exception off while you test. |
Still stuck? Contact Tegsoft support with the number you tested from and the time of the test, and we will look it up.
SMS and WhatsApp
For messages, Activate & Test explains how the number is connected (see the WhatsApp and SMS articles under Channels) and asks you to send a test message from another phone. Your AI agent should reply within a few seconds.
